As you leave Joyful Spirit Church, there is a sign that reads: “You are Now Entering the Mission Field.” At Joyful Spirit we are dedicated to reaching beyond our walls, and out into the community where the need is — whether that be in the local, national or global community. Come join us on our mission!

Helping Hands
As we help members and friends at Joyful Spirit grow in hope this team will help give hope and a “hand” to people within Bolingbrook and our surrounding community through planned and coordinated projects with existing organizations, such as, FISH, (involves collecting nonperishable food items and coordinating food drives and Thanksgiving food baskets) and Morningstar Mission, (volunteering to serve dinner at Morningstar Mission, and providing gifts for children on the Stars of Hope tree at Christmas).

Haiti Team
The Haiti Mission Team coordinates all of our mission work in Haiti through the Lazarus Project. Our ministries include our Child Sponsorship Program at Village of Hope, raising funds and awareness for Haiti missions, and planning mission trips. The team meets occasionally throughout the year, and more frequently before mission trips.

Child Sponsorship
Church members have the opportunity to sponsor students at the Village of Hope in Haiti. Sponsorship provides education, clothing and food for a child at the cost of only $30 per month.
